Which Medicine to Give to Child When in Stomach Pain?

For stomach pain for your children( 6 months or older) you can give MEFTAL-SPAS pediatric syrup.

For my child of 3.5 years girl/14 Kgs the pediatrician has advised 5ml as SOS. Don't give it more than 2-3 times a day without meeting a specialist. If you want to give it to your child, increase/decrease the volume as per weight. If you child weight is 7 Kg then give him/her 2.5ml only. If the correct dosage comes to be 5 ml then reduce it further to 3 ml or so to reduce the drug content a little.

For most babies it is safe and good drug for such stomach pain reliefs. Carry it when you travel and keep it handy in your home as you'd need it every couple of months.

The MEFTAL-SPAS bottle of 30ml I've has following composition:

Each 5ml contains:

  • Dicyclomine Hydrochloride IP .... 10 mg
  • Simethicone Emulsion USP equivalent to Simethicone ..... 40 mg
